Founded in 1986, the Abita Brewing Company located in Abita Springs, Louisiana stands as the oldest and largest craft brewer in the South East. During the 2012 calendar year, Abita produced over 151,000 barrels of beer and 9,000 barrels of Root Beer representing an annual growth rate of 20%.
